plan a spring field trip to Flaming Acres Farm
during the month of may/June!
20046 Lower Pleasant Ridge Rd
CALDWELL, IDAHO

Not all venues are open in the spring

Flaming Acres is opening the farm this spring for field trips. We encourage young visitors from pre-schools, daycares, elementary schools & homeschool groups to plan a visit. For elementary schools grade Pre-K through 4th grade admission fee is only $6 per student. Middle Schools and Special Needs Adult groups the admission fee is $10 per student. Teachers and chaperones have free admission.
Opening day is May 3rd through June 9th.There are two daily session times to choose from; 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. To sign up for your date & time scroll down to the online registration form and select a few options.
Purchase orders are accepted for payment arrangements with schools as well as checks or credit cards. Click Purchase Order Button for more information. One adult chaperone/10 students is the recommended ratio. Pre-school students may require a 1/5 student to chaperone ratio. Priority is given to groups in the primary school age range of pre-k to 4th grade due to the type of agricultural education experiences designed at the farm this year. If you have a group Middle Schoolers, or older students there will be more free-play activities that the teachers will have to plan with an appropriate number of chaperones for organized group activities for students to help keep them entertained during their time at the farm. Since we will need to have more staff on site to help, the admission fee is higher for this age group.

Teachers or field trip group leaders will be emailed a packet of resources and field trip information before they visit the farm which includes educational materials, a schedule, a map and other important information to help make the farm visit a successful time for all. Upon arrival, each group leader will be provided directions for navigating through the farm in a sequence with specific time intervals which will keep everyone moving to help avoid the problem of missing an activity or wasting time standing in line.
